L1-Fold 1304
sound as a material substance.
probing for ear response; structural possibilities of space and the corresponding conditioning of sonic physicality.
driven by the desire to fold the receptivity of the material with spatial.

L1-fold are a series of tracks, variations on a limited selection of frequencies and sounds, started in 2025 as an extension of an earlier track.
The intention is to achieve an expression of materiality through working with narrow-band frequency blocks and the impact of low frequency components, along with amplified noises of the recorded acoustics. The (limited) presence of the latter marks my interest in bringing the contrast of different material qualities forward and finding how their diversity might alter or potentially destabilise attention circuits in the listening flow.
The diffusion on Acousmonium was a testing ground for understanding the possibility of transferring the composed spatial-material instances to a different acoustic environment, mediated through a different loudspeaker configuration & technology. The role of live diffusion as a technique for working with spatiality was among other focal pints in my listening, and intentions of bringing this piece into the acousmonium setting.
