Sáof 




Liza began perfoming live in 2022 with her solo project Saof, which has since been presented in venues across Europe, in Israel and Russia. 




Saof surfaces from a meld of drone, noise, electroacoustic, and computer music influences and manifests in a dynamic sound of shifting auditory scenes and textural materials. Synthesis in higher spectral registers, screeching electronics, and fractured tones of string instrumentation articulated through spectral manipulations form the musical vocabulary of Sáof. Her music is  released on Unheard Records (LA). 


Sáof is an electronic and electroacoustic project by Liza Kuzyakova, a Moscow-born composer and artist now based in the Netherlands. Her work interlaces multichannel electroacoustic composition with live performance and explores the tension between sound, space, and materiality, drawing inspiration from experimental theatre. Sáof’s musical output links atmospheres that balance between the dramatic intensity and subtle trembling of textures. Sáof began with roots in drone, noise, and power electronics, embracing the extremes of sound and a chaotic atmosphere full of friction and uncertainty. Over time, the project has evolved into a genre-fluid exploration, merging screeching electronics, dynamic sonic environments, and fractured instrumental tones to evoke rich imaginative experiences and surreal sonic narratives. 

Sáof has released her music on Unheard Records, a label from LA, and has performed in a variety of venues in the Netherlands, Germany, Latvia, Israel, and Russia.
